Gijsbert Kok (1963) studied organ, church music, improvisation and music theory at the conservatoires of The Hague, Tilburg and Rotterdam and he studied the carillon with Bernard Winsemius at the Dutch Carillon School in Amersfoort.
Currently he is city- carillonneur of The Hague, Scheveningen and Voorschoten.

He is organist- titulaire of the historic organ of the Abdijkerk in The Hague – Loosduinen and of the American Protestant Church of The Hague.
He is professor for music theory at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts).
Gijsbert Kok is an active recitalist for carillon and organ.
He has published several books with carillon arrangements and with chorale preludes for organ.
